#7 Bachelorette Jillian Harris loves KV BIJOU

I’ll admit it, I watched Jillian Harris, (the most recent bachelorette) every Monday night.  I was thrilled to have her check out my jewellery and even more excited to see how much she loved it!  Wearing her huge pear-shaped engagement ring, she carefully browsed my collection and ended up deciding on “Birds of a Feather” and “Amazonite hoops” as her favorites.  She was super bubbly and very sweet.

While packaging up her order, we chit chatted and she dished that her and Ed were fabulous and that she would be moving in with him in Chicago that same week! Vancouver is sad to see you go Jillian!

#6 Jason Priestley picks out KV BIJOU for his wife

My first two impressions of Jason Preistley, 1)he is shorter than I imagined, 2) he has the bluest eyes ever!  The picture on the left, shows us posing after he picked out some jewellery for his wife.  He was on his way down to host the Award show and managed to swing by KV BIJOU for some jewellery.  He was very personable chatting with me about his family, children and show business.  As he was browsing my jewellery, he told me he’s hoping his young daughter doesn’t follow in his footsteps and decide to go into acting.

Even though he had swarms of cameras around him and a tight schedule, it was very sweet that he took the time to ask about my company and after letting me know how much he loved my handmade jewellery, even asked to get my email to let me know how his wife liked the earrings!

#5 Jann Arden comes by KV BIJOU

Growing up listening to Jann Arden, when I saw her name on the guest list I was over the moon to have the chance to meet her.  Her song “Good Mother” is one of my all time favorites.  When she came into the lounge there was quite the scene, camera’s everywhere, entourage and people crowding around listening to her interview with Celebrity host Erica Ehm. Jann is absolutely unaffected by her fame, as she joked around lightheartedly by putting a pair of panties on her head from another booth.  Making her way through the lounge, you’d never guess she had a televised live performance in a matter of hours.

As I had the chance to talk with her, she told me that instead of taking a gift bag for herself, she’d donate the bag to help Cystic Fibrosis.  I thought this was remarkable as I’ve been personally affected by this disease when I lost a childhood friend to it while in University.  One of her family members struggles with it and it is very close to her heart.  She took a peek at my jewellery and congratulated me on how beautiful it all was.  I was happy to have the chance to tell her how much her music has touched me over the years and have a chat with her.

Since meeting in the lounge, we’ve become twitter buddies- and anyone who knows anything about twitter knows that when celebrities follow you back, it’s a big deal!  She messaged me letting me know how great it was to meet and that she wished me all the best with my gorgeous line of lovelies.  This made my night!

It was inspiring to see someone so successful stay grounded and level headed in a tough business, and also recognize how blessed they are enough to give back in a big way.  Jann’s new cd comes out Sept 29th and the word on the street is that she goes on a country wide tour Nov. 14th!
